ExtraWorkflows

Turn events in SimpleRisk into automatic action

Define event-driven workflows that trigger on changes in SimpleRisk and run a sequence of actions automatically, with branches, delays, and waits, no code required.

Why it matters

Manual follow-up does not scale

Every day, things change in your GRC program: a risk gets created, a control is updated, a document is removed. Each change usually needs a follow-up, a note to the right person, a ticket, an update in another system.

When those steps depend on someone remembering to take them, they get missed or delayed. As your program grows, the manual glue between an event and the response becomes the bottleneck.

What it does

Define what happens, automatically

The Workflows Extra adds event-driven, visual workflow definitions to SimpleRisk. You pick a trigger, then define the sequence of actions that should run whenever it occurs, no code required.

  • Event triggers. Start a workflow when a risk is created, a control is updated, a document is deleted, and more.
  • Sequenced actions. Send an email, post to Slack, or fire a webhook, in the order you define.
  • Logic and timing. Add branches, delays, and waits so the flow matches how your process actually works.
  • Visual editor. Build workflows by hand in a visual editor and run them on every matching event.

How it works

Up and running in three steps

1

Pick a trigger

Choose the event that starts the workflow, such as a risk being created or a control updated.

2

Define the actions

Lay out the sequence of actions to run, with branches, delays, and waits as needed.

3

Let it run

Publish it, and SimpleRisk runs the workflow automatically on every matching event.
